Pressure Washing.
Driveway, siding, patio, deck.
Green siding on the north side, a driveway that has gone grey, a bluestone patio you cannot see the color of. Washed with the right pressure for each surface so nothing gets stripped or etched.
Pick what you need. We look at the property and text you a number, usually the same day.
Pressure Washing
Pressure washing in Bernardsville and the Somerset Hills
Pressure washing is easy to do badly. Too much pressure on vinyl siding forces water behind it. Too much on a deck raises the grain. Too much on pavers blows the sand out of the joints. The job is matching pressure and cleaner to the surface.
Every property in the Somerset Hills grows algae on the shaded side of the house and lichen on the stone. It is the trees and the humidity, and it comes back every couple of years. A proper wash takes it off, brightens the driveway and the walks, and makes the patio look like the day it was set. It is also the cheapest thing you can do to a house before selling it.
What pressure washing covers
- Soft wash siding, vinyl, fiber cement and painted
- Driveways and walkways with a surface cleaner, no stripes
- Patios and pavers, washed and re sanded
- Decks and fences at low pressure, ready for stain
- Stain treatment for rust, oil and efflorescence
Soft washing siding
Vinyl, fiber cement and painted siding get a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that kills the algae and mildew rather than blasting it. High pressure on siding drives water into the wall and strips paint. The green comes off, the finish stays.
Driveways, walkways and patios
Concrete and asphalt take real pressure with a surface cleaner that leaves no stripes. Pavers get washed and then the joints get re sanded, because a wash without re sanding leaves the pavers loose. Bluestone gets a gentler pass so the surface is not etched. Efflorescence and rust stains get treated separately.
Decks and fences
Wood gets low pressure and a wood cleaner, then a brightener. Wash it in spring and it is ready for staining and sealing, which is on the home improvement page and can be done by the same crew on the next visit. A deck washed and sealed every two to three years lasts twice as long as one left alone.
Pressure washing goes on the same quote as the landscaping and the lawn, and it is the easy add on to a spring cleanup. We look at the surfaces before quoting, because a driveway with oil stains and a driveway with moss are not the same price.

Quick answers.
Will pressure washing damage my siding?
Not soft washed. High pressure on siding is the mistake. We use low pressure and a cleaner that kills the algae.
How often should a house be washed?
Every two to three years for siding in this area, yearly for a shaded driveway or patio.
Do you re sand pavers after washing?
Yes. Washing without re sanding leaves the pavers loose.
Can you stain the deck after washing it?
Yes, on the next visit once it is dry. It is on the home improvement page and goes on the same quote.
